Boy Names related to Combination

Combination names for baby boys, related also with compound, with 306 entries. The term “combination names” is a loose description of a wider group of names that consist of double names or blended names. In essence, double names are two given names to a person. Double names may or may not be held together with a dash: consider the English name John Paul, or its French version Jean-Paul. It is thought that double names may have been popularized by the Catholic and Christian tradition of baptism, in which the practice of bestowing an added name emerged during the seventeenth century in Europe. Frequently, the person being baptized was given a name from a biblical figure in history. Blended names consist of syllables found in two separate names, then amalgamated to coin a new name. Deshawn, for example, is a blend of the name component “De” and popular boys name “Shawn”.
