French names for baby boys, with 712 entries. French names are all-time favorites. Currently they are still very popular baby names for boys, though they were in more widespread use previously. At the height of their usage in 1952, 33.304% of baby boys were given French names. There were 86 French names ranked within the top 1000 baby names then. French names have since experienced a decline in frequency, but are nonetheless used on a very heavy scale now. In 2015, 78 French names listed among the top 1000, with a combined usage of 11.853%.
