Romanian names for baby boys, with 119 entries. The Romanian language is part of the Romance or Latin language family, and is the only Romance language spoken in Eastern Europe. Romania itself is part of the Balkan peninsular, an area with a rich linguistic community of no less than seven primary ethnolinguistic groups, including the Slavic people. Medieval migration and trade enriched the Romanian language with significant Slavic features and today almost one-fifth of Romanian vocabulary has Slavic origin.
