Emilia Clarke started a well-celebrated acting career when she first appeared on an episode of the soap opera ‘Doctors’ (2009). She then skyrocketed to international fame for giving life to the character of Daenerys Targaryen in the hit TV series ‘Game of Thrones’ (2011-2019). While playing the character in the said show, Clarke has also worked on other projects such as the movies ‘Me Before You’ (2016) and ‘Solo: A Star Wars Story’ (2018).
She has a condition called heterochromia wherein both of her eyes have grayish-blue outer rims and hazel-colored inner times. While filming ‘Game of Thrones’, Clarke had to undergo two separate surgeries to treat her aneurysms, one in 2011 and one in 2013. She had a short period of aphasia during the former which caused her to have problems recalling her own name at one point. These surgeries were revealed after she launched her charity SameYou in 2019.
