Robert Lowe is an American actor, director, and producer. He gained recognition for his role as Sam Seaborn in the NBC drama series “The West Wing” (1999-2006), for which he received multiple Emmy Award nominations. Lowe has also starred in numerous films, including “The Outsiders” (1983), “St. Elmo’s Fire” (1985), “About Last Night…” (1986), “Wayne’s World” (1992), “Tommy Boy” (1995), “Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me” (1999), and “The Invention of Lying” (2009).

In addition to his acting career, Lowe has directed several films and television episodes. He has also written two books: “Stories I Only Tell My Friends” (2011) and “Love Life” (2014).
