Seann William Scott is a popular American actor, best known for his breakout role as Steve Stifler in the “American Pie” film franchise. He started his acting career as a regular cast member of the MTV series “Unhappily Ever After”. Aside from his role in “American Pie”, Scott has also starred in several successful comedy movies including “Dude, Where’s My Car?”, “Role Models”, and “The Dukes of Hazzard”. He also received praise for his role in the hockey comedy film “Goon”.

According to various interviews and reports, Seann William Scott got his name from his paternal grandfather who was of Scottish descent. His grandfather originally wanted to name him Sean, but his parents added an extra ‘n’ to his first name to make it more unique. As for his middle name, William, it was given to him in honor of his paternal grandfather’s good friend.

One less known fact about Seann William Scott is that he is a huge fan of the National Football League (NFL) and has been known to attend games and even play in several celebrity flag football games. He is a big supporter of the Minnesota Vikings and has been spotted wearing their gear on multiple occasions. In fact, he even appeared in a TV commercial for the NFL promoting the 2018 Super Bowl.
