Literature names for baby boys, with 59 entries. Male names from literature wax and wane according to bestseller lists. With the transition of stories from books to movies, names which were beloved on the plain pages of books found expanded audiences as their characters garnered greater fame on the big screen. Literature names are very popular baby names for boys. At the height of their usage in 1984, 13.161% of baby boys were given Literature names. There were 34 Literature names ranked within the top 1000 baby names then. Literature names have since experienced a decline in frequency, but are nonetheless used on a very heavy scale now.
