Medieval names are all-time favorites. Currently they are still very popular baby names for boys, though they were in more widespread use previously. At the height of their usage in 1952, 33.710% of baby boys were given Medieval names. There were 92 Medieval names ranked within the top 1000 baby names then. Medieval names have since experienced a decline in frequency, but are nonetheless used on a very heavy scale now.
