God names are very popular as baby girl names. Their usage peaked in 1916 with 9.262% of baby girls being given God names. Within the top 1000 baby names then, there were 31 God names. The names have slipped in popularity since then, but they are nevertheless of very heavy use in recent times. In 2017, their total usage was 4.230% with 44 God names listed among the top 1000. Among all God names, Elizabeth (English, Greek, and Hebrew) was the most widely used, with a ranking of #13 and a usage of 0.4755%.
