Italian names for baby girls, with 1545 entries. Italian names are classic favorites. Today they are still very popular as baby girl names, but not as much as they were in the past, and they are also regarded as trendy. Their usage peaked in 1948 with 16.670% of baby girls being given Italian names. Within the top 1000 baby names then, there were 101 Italian names. The names have slipped in popularity since then. In 2018, their total usage was 11.032% with 90 Italian names listed among the top 1000, appearing with somewhat increasing regularity in the recent decade. Among all Italian names, Emma (English, Armenian, Catalan, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Polish, Scandinavian, and Spanish) was the most widely used, with a ranking of #1 and a usage of 1.0123%.
