"ma" names for baby girls, with 5154 entries. "ma" names are classic favorites. Today they are still very popular as baby girl names, but not as much as they were in the past. Their usage peaked in 1921 with 15.851% of baby girls being given "ma" names. Within the top 1000 baby names then, there were 93 "ma" names. The names have slipped in popularity since then, but they are nevertheless of very heavy use in recent times. In 2018, their total usage was 5.049% with 77 "ma" names listed among the top 1000. Among all "ma" names, Emma (English, Armenian, Catalan, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Polish, Scandinavian, and Spanish) was the most widely used, with a ranking of #1 and a usage of 1.0123%.
